Day 1: Scenic Journey to Machu Picchu Pueblo
Your experience begins with morning pick-up from your hotel in Cusco’s historic center. You will travel in private tourist transportation to Ollantaytambo train station, located in the heart of the Sacred Valley.
From Ollantaytambo, you will board the tourist train to Machu Picchu Pueblo, also known as Aguas Calientes. Along the way, enjoy changing views of the Sacred Valley, the Urubamba River, towering mountains and the lush vegetation surrounding the railway.
Upon arrival, our local team will welcome you and provide the information needed for the following days of your journey, including assistance with any pending transportation arrangements.
The remainder of the afternoon is yours to enjoy. You may walk through the artisan market, explore the streets of Machu Picchu Pueblo, relax at your hotel or discover the town’s restaurants and cafés.

Day 2: Cloud Forest Walk and Cocalmayo Hot Springs
After breakfast at your hotel, you will begin a scenic walk of approximately three hours toward Hidroeléctrica.
The route follows a mostly level trail beside the railway and passes through a beautiful natural environment filled with tropical vegetation, mountain views and the sounds of the Vilcanota River. This slower journey offers a different perspective of the landscape surrounding Machu Picchu and allows you to experience the region beyond its most visited attractions.
Upon reaching Hidroeléctrica, transportation will take you to Santa Teresa and the famous Cocalmayo Hot Springs.
Surrounded by mountains and lush vegetation, Cocalmayo is the perfect place to rest after the walk. Enjoy time in its naturally heated pools, known for their clear water and peaceful setting.
Following the visit, you will return to Hidroeléctrica and continue by train to Machu Picchu Pueblo, where you will spend your second night in preparation for the following morning’s visit to the Inca citadel.

Day 3: Machu Picchu and Return to Cusco
After an early breakfast, you will walk to the bus station and board the shuttle bus to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu.
Accompanied by a professional guide, you will explore the fascinating history, architecture and spiritual significance of this extraordinary Inca site. During the guided visit, you will learn how its terraces, temples, ceremonial spaces and stone structures were carefully integrated into the surrounding mountain landscape.
The guided experience lasts approximately two to three hours, depending on the assigned Machu Picchu circuit and current visitor regulations.
When included in your confirmed reservation, you will also visit Huayna Picchu Mountain at the designated entrance time. From its elevated viewpoints, travelers can appreciate remarkable perspectives of Machu Picchu and the surrounding mountains.
After completing your visit, you will return to Machu Picchu Pueblo by shuttle bus. Depending on the train departure time, you may have an opportunity to enjoy lunch independently before boarding the Expedition train to Ollantaytambo.
Upon arrival at the station, our transportation will be waiting to take you back to Cusco and transfer you to your hotel.
