Overview

Our Full-Day Tour – Hike to the Waterfall and Archaeological Site of Perolniyoc is an unusual tour that mixes the cultural with ecotourism. A tour that will take you deep into the sacred valley and you will appreciate one of the spectacular works of nature hidden in a forest of abundant vegetation, you will be able to refresh yourself in its crystal clear waters. We will also visit the archaeological center that sits on top of the Racaypata or Perolniyoc waterfall. Without any doubt one of the best spectacles of nature in its purest version that you cannot miss on your tour of Cusco. ITINERARY

The day begins with the pick up from the hotel at 8:00 in the morning to transfer you through the route of the Sacred Valley of the Incas in an approximate time of 1 hour and a half until you reach the living Inca city of Ollantaytambo. We will make a small stop to use the toilets and buy some snacks, then we will continue on our way to the small town of Socma, which is 25 minutes away. We will start the walk towards the archaeological center of Racaypata (3550 masl / 11 646 feet) on the way we will appreciate the daily life of the inhabitants of the area, crops, etc. Our guide will explain to us the function that this archaeological center obtained in ancient times, its construction is based on stones and mud.

After the visit we will begin the descent through the Andean landscapes towards the spectacular Perolniyoc waterfall (3460 masl / 11 351 feet), this waterfall has a fall altitude of approximately 100 meters, in which we can enjoy nature in its state natural and pure, breathing pure and fresh air. If you dare, you can take a little dip in its crystal clear waters, in the same way, you will enjoy the landscape and the beautiful views that you will get; you will be able to observe some birds in the area. We will return to the city of Urubamba where we will enjoy a delicious traditional lunch and rest, then to the city of Cusco to leave it at your hotel.
