Overview
This archaeological center is a mixture of pre-Inca and Inca construction, therefore, it was built by the Qanchi ethnic group and in the time of the Incas, it was probably built in the period of government of the Inca Wayna Khápaq considered as a fortress.
Waqrapukara Cusco is a new tourist attraction whose mysteries have not yet been deciphered and that allows a magnificent view of the night sky, populated with constellations, planets, and stars of enormous value in the Inca worldview; Fortress, sanctuary, astronomical observatory are the interpretations of this enigmatic monument of classic Inca architecture that is located at 4,300 meters above sea level, in the abysses of the Apurímac river canyon, south of the city of Cusco.

- First we will start with the respective pick up from the hotel in Cusco at 04:30 hrs in the morning.
- Then we will go south of Cusco, to the town of Sangarara where we will have our first stop.
- Then we will continue along a zigzag road to the parking lot, from where the walk will begin.
- Later we will have a walk of approximately 2 hours until we reach the archaeological complex of Waqrapukara, upon arrival we will have enough time to take pictures and tour a large part of the place.
- Then we will return by the same route to the parking lot to return to the city of Cusco (approximate time of arrival 18:30 hrs.)
- Pick up from your hotel in Cusco (the tour ends in the Main Square or you can be dropped off at your hotel)
